Yoga Classes

Yoga is an ancient form of exercise that focuses on strength, flexibility and breathing to boost physical and mental wellbeing. The main components of yoga are postures (a series of movements designed to increase strength and flexibility) and breathing. The practice originated in India about 5,000 years ago

Yoga is a safe and effective way to increase your physical activity, especially strength, flexibility and balance and regular yoga practice can be beneficial for people with high blood pressure, heart disease, aches and pains, including lower back pain, depression and stress

There are many different styles of yoga, such as Ashtanga, Iyengar and Sivananda, at Vitawell our yoga teacher has developed their own practice and combines a mixture of all three and is not strenuous, two sessions a week will help you strengthen your muscles and improve your balance and co-ordination

Our typical class lasts 1 hour and 30 minutes which gives you more time for learning, breathing and relaxation techniques and gives our teacher time to work with your individual ability on a 1:1 basis

Our classes have no more than 5 clients at any one time within them, it is always advisable to book a course in advance, with only two classes a week they do become booked out quickly

Our yoga teacher is insured and has the relevant yoga teaching certificate and accreditation from the British Wheel of Yoga (BWY), the Sport England-recognised governing body for yoga

Yoga classes

Our Yoga Classes are available on PAYG at £6.50 per class or as a course of 3 months for 12 classes at one a week for £55.00 per month or 24 classes at two a week for £110.00 per month

We also welcome GP and Hospital referrals.  If your GP practice is not listed on our GP Referral Scheme, please ask us for our form to give to your practice to complete
